Totally committed to client service delivery, our Human Resources Division is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Assistant Human Resources Advisor to join to our team of professionals in the Human Resources Division.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, and as a key member of our team, you will be involved in a broad range of Human Resources functions. In your past roles, you have been an integral part of a Human Resources team and can readily demonstrate your ability in a number of human resource areas. Although on a daily basis you will provide front line support and customer service for the Division; you will be a key resource to employees and managers in all aspects of human resource service delivery, including; providing assistance and coordination with employee recruitment and selection; occupational health and safety; benefits administration and training and development.

This will appeal to a fast paced, detail-oriented, independent and well-organized individual who has completed a degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related discipline supplemented by post-secondary courses in human resources administration and 2 - 3 years direct experience in a Municipal Human Resources environment. Additionally, you are required to have excellent computer/word processing skills (Word and Excel), typing speed of 35 wpm, familiarity with HRIS and a sound knowledge of business English. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role. Superior customer service is vital when you are dealing with employees and external agencies. Studying for a CPHR designation is considered an asset.

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must have a valid and current BC Class 5 (full-privilege) driver???s license or equivalent driver???s license for where you reside. A competitive salary commensurate with experience is available with this Exempt position. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:00am ??? 4:30pm.
