The City of Abbotsford???s Human Resources Department is delighted to be growing. The team is seeking a talented Manager, Employee Services who has a solid generalist background in a unionized environment, coupled with proven leadership skills and experience.

If you are a self-motivated, driven individual who thrives in a fast paced, team environment, and are seeking an opportunity to take on an impactful leadership role with a progressive team; this could be the role for you! Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, you will lead a team who provide advice and support in the areas of recruitment, job evaluation/classification, training and development, employee recognition and employee relations in a diverse unionized setting.

Your considerable experience and knowledge of Human Resources best practices will guide you as you: lead full-cycle recruitment for a wide variety of City positions, conduct job analysis and classification of union positions, oversee the facilitation and coordination of training and development, provide advice, guidance and support on employment and classification, and lead departmental projects that create positive people impacts across the City.

Our Human Resources team values integrity, teamwork and an energetic and positive work environment. This role requires a high energy self-starter with the ability to manage a busy and complex workload and team while providing excellent customer service.

Our ideal candidate will have:

??? a Degree in Human Resources or a related field;
??? a minimum of five years progressive Human Resources experience in a unionized setting;
??? a minimum of two years related leadership experience, including leading projects;
??? a proven track record in recruitment, job evaluation, training and development, and HR advising;
??? superior communication and interpersonal skills; and
??? a CHRP designation, or working towards the designation, is considered an asset.
