Help us ignite young imaginations and connect Surrey’s diverse population and communities through participation, engagement and stories at the Museum of Surrey! We’re looking for a customer-focused Facility Attendant to help provide a high level of service in a new, busy, and vibrant community facility.
Union (CUPE 402) - Auxiliary
•Meet and greet visitors as they enter the facility.
•Assist the public with their questions and concerns by phone or in-person.
•Handle and reconcile cash for admissions and sales.
•Register participants for programs.
•Provide information and facility orientations.
•Support the opening and closing of the facility.
•Monitor, implement, and report safety and risk management issues and practices.
•Assist programming staff with program preparations, such as preparing nametags and supplies.
•Provide basic clerical support.
•Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by 1 year of office experience or a combination of training and experience.
•Hold a current Emergency First Aid with CPR.
•Strong team player with great interpersonal skills and leadership ability.
•Excellent customer service and communication skills.
•Familiarity with the programs, activities and services of the City’s Heritage Services.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
•This position requires completion of a Police Information Check.
