The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a Regular Full-Time Economic Development Coordinator to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Administration Division, Economic Development Department.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Economic Investment and Development, you will work in a team environment to plan, research, develop, coordinate, implement, and monitor programs, activities and events in support of local business development initiatives. You will work with representatives of business improvement associations, tourism and the Chamber of Commerce and attend events and make presentations related to the work on behalf of the municipality. The position collaborates with municipal departments on projects related to economic development and coordinates outreach efforts to local businesses. Your education will include a degree or diploma in a discipline related to the work, plus considerable related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You will have considerable knowledge of the principles, practices, policies, rules and regulations governing economic development and the ability to plan, research and develop, coordinate and implement a variety of programs and events. The successful candidate will have the ability to research and compile information, and prepare and present narrative and graphic reports.

The CUPE rate of pay for this position is $34.98 - $41.29 per hour (5 steps, 2019 rates), plus benefits. The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:30am ??? 4:30pm.
