Job Description: |
The District of Mission is looking for a progressive and innovative individual to provide leadership and oversee programs and operations in the Engineering & Public Works Department.
As an integral part of the Engineering & Public Works management team, the Manager of Engineering Planning & Assets is responsible for the master planning and modeling of civil infrastructure and for improving the business aspects of the department by conducting in-depth budget reviews and analyses with a focus on potential cost reductions and process improvement opportunities.
This position also oversees staff maintaining the asset management program as well as the maintenance of municipal buildings.

We are looking for an individual who has a strong understanding of the technical nature of the work, a keen critical thinking ability, analytical and problem-solving skills and is focused on high quality outputs and results. You understand local government objectives and issues, you are proactive and forward thinking and you have excellent interpersonal skills. |

Educational Requirements: |
As the ideal candidate, you will have a Bachelor???s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, supplemented by recognized training or education in finance and project management. A minimum of five years of solid, progressive municipal civil engineering experience supplemented with project management experience is required. You will also be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Limited Licensee (Eng.L.) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or be registered as a Professional Technologist (PTech) with Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC (ASTTBC). |

Salary: |
This position is excluded from the bargaining units and offers a wage rate commensurate with your qualifications and experience. |
