As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Community Development Department as either a Planner I or Planner II, depending on qualifications and experience. Duties: Reporting to the Director of Community Development, the Planner I or Planner II supports a wide range of current and long-range planning activities to help guide the District’s growth and development in alignment with community goals and provincial legislation. As a smaller organization, the District of Hope offers the unique advantage of variety. You will gain exposure to a wide range of planning tasks and have opportunities to be public facing, interacting with residents, developers, and stakeholders. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, direct community impact, and the ability to see projects through from start to finish. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and take initiative managing day to day tasks; however, a small but dedicated team is in place to provide guidance and answer questions as they arise.
