We currently have the following temporary full-time, exempt civilian position:
Executive Assistant to the Chief Constable
Backfill for Mat Leave - Up to 18 months
The Executive Assistant provides highly confidential senior administrative services to the Chief Constable and the Abbotsford Police Board as required by monitoring, coordinating, researching, and assisting in the completion of related duties within the Office of the Chief Constable. This is a busy, high-profile position that demands the utmost professionalism, judgment, confidentiality, confidence in decision making, and the ability to prioritize and be adaptable to constantly changing priorities. This position requires interaction with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders including the Police Board, to convey information and promote positive and respectful relationships.

Educational Requirements: |
Candidates will have Grade 12 supplemented by post-secondary education and/or courses in administration, with a minimum of five (5) years’ related office experience at an executive level or suitable combination of training and experience. Demonstrated knowledge of the organizational structure and functions of the Abbotsford Police Department and the Police Board is required. Experience in a law office, public sector, or policing environment is considered an asset. |

Skill Requirements: |
A high degree of proficiency is required in office technology including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, MS Outlook, Adobe, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and minute taking.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and tact. They will be resourceful, have strong attention to detail, be a strong project manager, and have the ability to critically analyze information, problems and situations to formulate logical solutions and recommendations. Excellent editing and document drafting skills are required. |

Salary: |
$78,703 - $90,343 plus a $7,798 stipend |
|
Additional Information: |
We offer benefits package, including participation in a defined benefit pension plan. The successful candidate must obtain and maintain an enhanced security clearance, which includes a polygraph test.
