The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for a regular full-time Project Manager to join our team of professionals in the Corporate Projects Division, Parks Design and Development Department. Reporting to the Manager, Parks, Design and Development, in this exempt position you will oversee and manage a wide range of projects, including preparation of tender documents, requests for proposals, requests for qualifications and service procurement documents and contracts.

Responsibilities include
• Prepare Tender documents, evaluate proposals and participate in the consultation process
• Liaise with other departments, external contacts and consultants to develop conceptual designs for projects
• Conduct field inspections with respect to contracted services and take appropriate corrective action to ensure compliance and quality of service
• Monitor and provide information for landscape architecture, engineering, and consultants on related projects
• Ensure contractual requirements are met, monitor contract program costs and authorize progress payments
• Develop and present informative presentations and written reports to public groups and partner agencies
• Perform related duties as required

Qualifications
Your education will include a diploma, Bachelor or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and three to five years’ current relevant work experience directly related to managing and administering projects, preferably supplemented by experience of on-site construction and project management. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Certifications/Licenses
Candidates must have the following valid and current certifications/licenses (must be valid at the time the posting closes) and these must be attached with your application.
• BC Class 5 (full privilege) Driver’s License. You must include with your application a current Personal Driving Record (select the 5-year option if obtaining online) that has been obtained within 6 months of the closing date. To obtain a copy of your Personal Driving Record, please contact ICBC directly or the driving authority where you reside. Please note that a copy of your Driver’s License or Driver Factor Report will not be accepted.
• Registered Landscape Architect and member in good standing of the BC Society of Landscape Architects or society with a BCSLA reciprocity agreement or Intern Landscape Architect registered or qualified to register with the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects to complete their Professional Development Program with the aim of full licensure
